الملخص

This Research deals with a study of the conditions of living in the vertical houses in the city of Mosul, and aims to determine the nature of these circumstances by clarifying the pros and cons of the vertical houses, according to the views of people living in flats and apartment. The Researcher relies on social survey method, and (sample survey) .The sample of the research was deliberated consisted of (80) Individuals who live in the apartments, and the questionnaire was the main tool for collecting information and data on researched community. The searcher also used the arithmetic mean, standard deviation and median as a statistical means of research.
The research found out a lot of results, for example: the vertical housing is the perfect solution to the problem of rent suffered by many members of the community, but it is a problem in terms of social and religious as it does not achieve the full privacy of the family.
