الملخص

Through the modern and contemporary history, Mosul City has been characterized by its civilization, literators, thinkers, historians and scholars with various fields of knowledge. In 1921, Mosullians did their best to promote the name of Iraq among the World States. As for athletic activities, Mosul is one of the Iraqi major cities whose citizens used to practice various types of sports. Nevertheless, they were the pioneers in practicing sports and component in managing and organizing athletic activities since they had acquired a huge experience in this field. Many of them were famous in organizing and leading the athletic movement in Mosul and Iraq evenly.
This research tackles the biography of two of those pioneers who submitted great services in such field, like managing and organizing the athletic movement. They are Hussein Ali Al-Farah & Shaheen Yahya Shaheen.
