Mosul khans are considered the most considerable Islamic buildings that include service buildings in Mosul during the Ottoman era for Mosul is located at a strategic and important geographical position in Iraq and the region generally. So, the khan is simply a building that refers to a store or commercial place for selling and purchasing works and a place for merchants’ dwelling and commerce . Also, it is used to refer to the centre and house for receiving passengers and commercial caravans . In addition, it refers to the location of the khan building . It is also said that khan is a furnished house and dwelling place that produces food and drinks to the passengers like merchants, pilgrims, travelers and the purchasers of the remote areas and the neighbor districts to stay temporarily and preserve their goods. Khan is known named in other worlds like agents, speculations and dwelling house and it stands for hotels. The oldest khans are related to the age of Hisham bin Abdul-Malik who constructs the first khans near the western palace of Al-Hera in Levant, then khans are well knwn in Iraq in general and specially in Mosul. Of those khans in the Arabian and Islamic countries are Al-Tutanchi khan, Al-Mufti khan, Hammu Qadou khan, Haj Husein Agha khan, Al-Hageyah khan (Al-Hajeyat), Al-Balyouz khan (Al-Qunsil) Abou Al-Toutanchi khan, Al-Gumrug-Al-Shatt khan for its close position to the river of Tigres, Al-Gift khan, Al-Tamr khan, Al-Naft khan, Al-Libn khan Al-Sawad khan, Al-Faham khan (for coals) , Al-Tamgha khan, Al-Juloud khan (animal skins) and khan for small and large soles. Another group of khans called after some professional classes in Mosul like (Al-Saqalin ) khan, Al-Gabouqchia khan, Al-Alwa khan (wheat market), Sharehat Al-Kalalin khan, Tellafaria khan and Al-Waqf khan. Thus, khans are considered the most considerable and important aspects of attracting purchasers, merchants, the rich, owners of the money, goods, and agricultural and industrial crops that witnesses an observable development during the Ottoman era

The Mosuli author 'Imad Deen Khaleel (the teacher of Islamic History) has been chosen to be the subject of this research due to the coherent artistic techniques that characterize his novel" The Sword And The Word " as well as the amount of experimentation the novel practices without touching the artistic requirements of the fictional structure. The place in this novel was characterized by being one of the pivots of the narrative space where the time is perfected to the extent that the latter is condensed into the former, such that Baghdad appeared as a theater of events preparing for the horror of the Mongolian invasion as well as its neighborhoods, schools, roads, bridges, markets, playfields and its stores…etc.
Therefore, this research emerged through analyzing the texts of the novel relying on the contrary dualisms in order to show the artistic and the aesthetic vision of the fictional text and to vision the significances that resulted from them.
The research included an introduction and three topic. The introduction of the concept of the vision place. Topic one of the horizontal and vertical vision, topic two from the whole to the part, vision from the part to the whole. Topic three from the fragmental vision, scenery fiction and inclusive vision.

Ibn jubair visited mosul city and stayed there for four days. He described what he observed about the miens of relegeous and civil constructions,such as mosgues and schools and also economical and services appearance such as markets ,qaysarriet inns and bath rooms. He pointed out the tempers of mosuls people with their good dealing with the strangers. He showed his surprise and disagreement of som social appearances that he saw in mosul which were not familiar to him in the west his description was full of vitality and truth far from personal or tangible degression.
Relationship of the Formation of Ego Identity with the Psychological Harmony for the Secondary School Students in Mosul City

The study aims at recognizing the level of psychological and social harmony ,its sources for the secondary school students in Mosul city and its relationship with the level of forming ego identity in addition to recognize the results of the assumptions prepared by the researcher to be examined including the extent of the presence of statistical significance among the crude degrees of the classes of the ideological and social ego identity and the total ego (achievement , suspension , lock and dispersion) and the crude degrees of the psychological harmony with its psychological, social and general dimensions . The researcher has adopted the analytical descriptive approach . The sample includes (400) students of both sexes represented by (200) students of both sexes from first and second intermediate classes and (200) students of both sexes from fourth and fifth secondary classes . The researcher has used two scales ; the first ,prepared previously , to measure ego identity and the second , prepared by the researcher , to measure the psychological and social harmony .Validity and reliability of both tools have been verified . The study has concluded with some results including : The level of psychological and social harmony for the students is (216,3150) which represents a high rate compared to the assumptive mean which is (180) , and the average of the level of forming ego identity for them is (219,482) which represents a low rate compared to the assumptive medium (224). That refers to the sample does not enjoy possessing the ability of forming ego identity compared to the assumptive medium.
- The study shows that the values of correlation coefficients of the relationship between the classes of the ideological ego identity and the psychological and social harmony are different and statistically significant.

This Research deals with a study of the conditions of living in the vertical houses in the city of Mosul, and aims to determine the nature of these circumstances by clarifying the pros and cons of the vertical houses, according to the views of people living in flats and apartment. The Researcher relies on social survey method, and (sample survey) .The sample of the research was deliberated consisted of (80) Individuals who live in the apartments, and the questionnaire was the main tool for collecting information and data on researched community. The searcher also used the arithmetic mean, standard deviation and median as a statistical means of research.
The research found out a lot of results, for example: the vertical housing is the perfect solution to the problem of rent suffered by many members of the community, but it is a problem in terms of social and religious as it does not achieve the full privacy of the family.
